GTA 5 Hidden Locations and Secrets — 25 Places Most Players Never Find

GuideMap & Locationsby GTA Editorial 1 min read

GTA 5’s map is packed with secrets that even veteran players might have missed. From sunken UFOs to hidden caves and developer easter eggs, this guide covers 25 of the most interesting hidden locations in Los Santos and Blaine County.

1. Underwater UFO (North of Procopio Beach)

Dive to the ocean floor north of Procopio Beach to discover a crashed UFO sitting on the seabed. It’s partially buried in sand and covered in barnacles, suggesting it’s been there for a very long time. You’ll need a scuba suit or submarine to reach it.

2. Mount Gordo Ghost

Visit the peak of Mount Gordo between 11 PM and midnight to witness the ghost of Jolene Cranley-Evans floating above the rocks. The word “JOCK” is written in blood on the stones below — referencing her husband Jock Cranley who pushed her off the cliff. This is one of GTA 5’s most chilling easter eggs.

3. Altruist Camp

Hidden in the Chiliad Mountain State Wilderness, the Altruist Camp is home to a cannibalistic cult. Trevor can deliver hitchhikers here for cash rewards. After four deliveries, a shootout triggers where you can earn a $100K briefcase and several weapon pickups.

4. Abandoned Mine Shaft

In the hills of Great Chaparral, there’s a boarded-up mine shaft entrance. While you can’t enter it normally, it’s part of the Murder Mystery collectible quest and connects to the Infinite 8 Killer storyline that spans multiple collectible locations across the map.
